Hello from Lizzie Windelinckx and 'Giddypup'.
I studied textiles many moons ago and now find myself illustrating. I work with a pen and tablet in photoshop.
I also use my hands to scan in painted and drawn textures.
I am inspired by mainly cute, colourful things.Furry faced fluffs are my weakness and as I am allergic to cats I observe them from a far.
I now, however have my very own 'breathing' Boston Terrier and of course she is called Giddy. My Boston terrier illustrations, completed 'pre' Giddy are now a reality and I feel so lucky to be Giddys mum.
I have loved rugby league for years, Leeds Rhinos and I married into supporting Man City football team and have fallen in love with football too, to the extent of having a season ticket! Please don't let my teams cloud your judgement of my work! (unless you are a Wigan RL or United fan.... Only joking).
I used to run until my body got middle aged and broke. I do hope to get back to it when my body mends.
I am a member of the AOI and you will find my portfolio at www.theaoi.com under my name, Lizzie Windelinckx(maybe cut and paste my surname to save the effort of spelling it).
I also have an Etsy store and you can see my wares by typing in my shop name 'Giddypup'. I sell fine bone china ceramics with my illustrations on them.
I am proud to be a director of Clem's Garden CIC. A social enterprise on a mission to combat boredom and loneliness in later life. Finding a way for older people not lucky enough to have kids or grandkids where their skills, care and experience will be valued. Together we will bring a new source of local, environmentally sustainable, chemical free cut flowers to Huddersfield.
Well done if you managed to read right to the end of this blurb.
